In-Wall Accessory Dimmer

 

1. Install the In-Wall Accessory Dimmer in your desired location (See enclosed instruction sheet)

  • Ensure the LED indicator on your dimmer is illuminated.

Notes:

  • Must have HALO Home compatible lights or devices installed and powered ON to use this dimmer.
  • Indoor use only.
  • If you have already registered for a Halo Home account, skip to step 4.

 

2. Download the Halo Home App to your smart mobile device

 

3. Create a user account and validate via email

  1. Enter your email address as your user account name.
  2. Select a password of at least 8 characters from the mobile application "Register" screen.
  3. Verify identity by clicking the link in your validation email.

 

4. Add the Accessory Dimmer switch to the app

  1. Press the "  " menu button in the upper left-hand corner and navigate to "Controllers", then press the "+" button on the screen.
  2. Select the switch and press "Add". (It may take up to 30 seconds for the process to complete.)
  3. You can now associate it with a Device/Group/Scene.

Notes:

  • At least one Halo Home compatible device will need to be installed and powered in order to associate the Accessory Dimmer to a device.
  • The app works only within about 40 feet of the device depending on your mobile device's Bluetooth range.

 

5. Associate the dimmer to a device

  1. To associate to a single device, select the " button and select the "Controllers" tab.
  2. Select the In-Wall Accessory Dimmer.
  3. To associate with a device, select "Devices" and swipe until you find the device you would like to associate the dimmer with.
  4. To associate with a group of devices, create a group if you have not done so already. Then press "Groups". Swipe the group photos left or right until you find the group you want.
  5. If you like, you can give the switch a name and a photo by touching the switch name or photo.
  6. Hit "Save" in the upper right-hand corner of the app screen.

Note: You must create the group before you associate with the switch.

 

6. Reset to factory settings

ONLY DO THIS STEP IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REMOVE THE DEVICE FROM THE APP.
If removal isn't possible, delete it by clicking "my device is broken" and then do the factory reset steps:

  • Hold the ON button for 12 seconds to reset

7. Dimming

  • The switch will dim fixtures from 100% to 5% using the switch directly as well as through the mobile app.
