Smart Dimmer - Quick Start Guide

 

I. Pair Your In-Wall Smart Dimmer

1. Install the Smart Dimmer (See enclosed instruction sheet)

  • Ensure the LED indicator is illuminated

Note:

  • Dimmer must be installed and wired to a circuit with dimmable standard light(s), in order to be used.

  • Indoor use only

  • Max 600W incandescent/300W LED or CFL

  • If you have already registered for a Halo Home account, you may skip to step 

2. Create your HALO Home Account

Download the HALO Home app and register >

Already a HALO Home user? Skip to the next step.
 

3. Add the Smart Dimmer to the app

IMPORTANT! iPhone 11 Users. Having issues? Please read this>

  1. Tap the " ☰ " menu button in the upper left corner
  2. Navigate to "Devices" and tap the " + " icon
  3. Select the switch and press "Add". (It will take about 30 seconds for the process to complete.)
  4. You can now associate it to a device.

Note: Stay in range. Your mobile device will need to be within 40' of the device when pairing.

 

II. Additional HALO Home In-Wall Smart Dimmer Information

Now you can:

Reset to Factory Settings

ONLY DO THIS STEP IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REMOVE THE DEVICE FROM THE APP.
If removal isn't possible, delete it by clicking "my device is broken" and then do the factory reset steps:

  • Hold the ON button for 12 seconds to reset

Dimming

  • Control dimming from 5-100% using either the app or wall dimmer

 

Manual override

  • If the light is OFF in the app, cycle power one time, the light will return to the previous ON state.
